Congratulations to Fort Worth Mitsubishi in Fort Worth, Texas for being our February 2020 “Dealer Spotlight”! Fort Worth Mitsubishi became a Skopos dealer in September 2019, and was nominated by Business Development Manager (BDM), Susanne Wied, for demonstrating an immediate affinity for Skopos’ program and their commitment to working with our Credit, Funding and Business Development team(s) to take care of their customers. Here’s what else Susanne had to share:
"Fort Worth Mitsubishi was my pick for the 'Dealer Spotlight', due to the amount of business they've done with us in such a short time. In six (6) short months they have managed to become one of my best dealers, consistently funding progressively more deals with us in each of the last five (5) months. Both finance guys are building their careers in the finance side of the business, and we all respect one another so much already, that when I share tips with them, they are very receptive to my ideas and implement them. In fact, they have taken that information and applied it to their relationships with other lenders, as well. They make me feel like I am their #1 priority and stop whatever they are doing to come greet me when I visit the store or call / text them on the phone. I'm never forced to wait, and -- in turn -- they always have my full attention. It's truly the best relationship I have experienced in working with 200+ accounts. For a new store, with new people, they show a lot of promise. It's very rewarding and exciting to see!"
Susanne had a chance to sit down with Peter Terry and Eugene Garcia, Fort Worth Mitsubishi's Finance Director and Finance Manager, and asked them what it has been like for them, working with Skopos Financial.
"We decided to try Skopos, because we needed more options. Our job is to explore every avenue available for our borrowers, and when you hit walls putting people in cars you have to try new things to break through barriers. Skopos was the key to putting more customers in cars and creating additional profit for our store. We are actually better finance managers because of our BDM and Skopos' funders. They have helped us be more effective at maintaining gross, due to flexibility on structure, more back-end and lower fee. The combination of working with buyers, day or night, to try different structures, down payment, and being able to ask questions regarding required stipulations, as well as working closely with the rep and funders during the funding process is awesome! Now, 80% of our subprime applicants are given a way to go, even with a higher fee. Skopos is always willing to work with us."
Skopos works very hard to make tough deals easy, but we know challenges can occur with a deal that require special assistance from our team. Here is what Peter and Eugene had to say when asked to give feedback on Skopos' ability to help them overcome obstacles.
"What obstacles? If we encounter any issues, they are quickly diffused by Skopos. Funding concerns and communication were some of our biggest problems before discovering Skopos. Not anymore. Natalie is the best funder we've ever had, and Susanne is the only auto finance rep we know that will call us or that we can call and always gets back to us. That’s unheard of in this industry. With so many Skopos people working on a deal, we know we're going to get it done. The collaboration and teamwork put in to funding the loans is what we love most about Skopos. We always have direct communication with them, and having multiple contacts we can reach out to, that know what is going on with a particular application or contract, is amazing. Another situation we faced in the past was how to finance lower income customers, but Skopos helps fill that gap, allowing us to put more deals together. Skopos also helped us find a solution for customers, who have non-traditional identification, by accepting multiple forms of ID. They also exhibit flexibility with proof of residence and income forms, such as permitting bank statements and checks for proof of income."
To close out the interview, Susanne asked Peter and Eugene what they would say to other dealers, who haven't signed up with Skopos -- or have -- but they're not active or engaged.
"Sign up now! You can't afford not to. With funding and communication a cornerstone of this business, every dealer is looking for someone who can provide help and a variety of options to put a deal together and keep it together. We feel like Skopos wants to get the deals done, unlike other banks. They understand our business and the need to fund deals quickly, including the importance of having someone we can reach out to, to talk to about our deals."
